This makes it more legible, in my opinion, than an ordinary textual diff. The advantage, then, is that we no longer need to keep track of anything in-memory to enumerate data that has been seen by the user but not added to the database yet! It narrows the default sources to those that resolve quickly, with only a couple of HTTP requests.
